Laura Ward, LCSW-R, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than two decades of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical support. She earned her social work education from Marywood University and has dedicated her career to providing thoughtful, client-centered care.
Laura works with adults and children experiencing anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress, and the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. She believes in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward healing and personal growth.
Laura also provides faith-based therapy for clients who wish to incorporate their spiritual beliefs and values into the counseling process. She respects each individual’s unique journey and welcomes conversations about faith as a source of strength, meaning, and healing.
As the parent of a child living with Type 1 diabetes, Laura is especially passionate about supporting parents and caregivers of children with chronic illnesses. She understands firsthand the emotional, relational, and practical challenges that chronic medical conditions can place on families and is committed to helping caregivers navigate these experiences with resilience and hope.
Her approach emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and meeting each person where they are in their journey. Laura is dedicated to helping clients develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and build a greater sense of well-being and purpose.
Laura provides services through The Hope Center and welcomes individuals and families seeking experienced, compassionate mental health support.
