Matthew is a a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at The Hope Center in the Binghamton, NY area and ready to welcome new clients.
Matthew=has spent the last 4.5 years in community mental health, working with a plethora of individuals who struggle with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, Bipolar, Personality disorders, and everything in between. He has experience working with children, teens, and adults up to the age of 70, addressing a variety of psychosocial and interpersonal struggles that impact everyone at some point in their lives.
He believes that the most important aspect of therapy is a safe therapeutic relationship that uses a person-centered approach to address and overcome challenges and barriers in a world that creates hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Matthew uses elements of a variety of different intervention approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and Person-In-Environment (PIE) therapy.
